Last week of the semester!!!!

Well, here i am in front of my computer looking at baruchnewmedia.com, with my notes and a strong cup of coffee preparing for the finals but of course, my mind is totally stressed out and i'm little frustrated. Too many thing to cover yet too little time. I bet i'm not the only one feeling this way. I don't usually sleep in the afternoon, and with the books open all around i'm having hard time staying awake and focused.  Even a strong coffee is not of any help. Instead, im writing a blog. weird!!!!!!

    I don't have the solution for this. The more you worry about the exam, the more you get stressed. So relax, and make yourself believe that you'll face it as it comes. I'm not saying it will help in the exam but that way you will atleast be able to prepare without being stressed. I hope so. :-)

Apple Iphone takes it again.

  As one of my all time favorite phones, iphone 4S was the top selling smartphone at all three of its U.S. carrier  AT&T, Verizon and sprint. However, the Galaxy series of Samsung phones proved to be its toughest competitor. As the craze for iphone is growing enormously each day, T-mobile, one of the four major carrier in U.S. is also planning to tie a knot with apple but it is yet to be decided.

WINDOWS 8.

After the average performance of the Windows 7,  Microsoft is ready to introduce its new operating system Windows 8 which is anticipated to be released this February 2012. According to the reports of IDC, a research firm, Windows 8 will be largely irrelevant to the users of traditional PCs, and expects no upgrade activity from Windows 7 to windows 8. However, the next version of windows will be Microsoft's first attempt to offer the same operating system for both PCs and mobile device. 

       But the question is, will the windows PC user upgrade to Windows 8 or switch to a new operating system as a platform geared for mobile devices?

Increasing malicious Android Apps..

     People should be more careful while downloading the Apps or Application for their smart phones these days, as there are many faulty apps and some can even harm the device. Very few issues have been reported regarding the Apps form the Apple's Appstore being malicious, however, the malicious apps for Android is believed to be inceasing rapidly in the market.
   Authorities at android are facing a hard time in controlling or detecting those malicious apps which can lead to some loss in industry.

iphone 4 Explodes on Austrialian Airline

     You might have already heard the news by now, but its quite shocking that there has been quite a few incidents regarding the overheating of Apple products. Recently, there was an accident on the Austrialian Airline where one of the passengers iphone 4 started to release heavy smoke due to overheating of the phone's battery. The plane was in the process of landing, however, the flight attendents handled it safely without any casualty. The cause of the small explosion is still uknown and under investigation.

         Myself, being a user of several Apple products believe that this is one negative side that most of the Apple products have. Mostly, i have experienced the problem of overheating with my Macbook. It gets really hot that you can not put it on your lap. And there has beed several reports of first degree burn regarding the MacBook Pro.

      It is kind of funny when people say that it gets hot enough to cook an omelette.

           

Must try for Beer Lovers@!#@!$

     I went to this restaurant or should i call it a brewery with my friends last week, which is located on 14th union square. Its called Heartland brewery and i believe they make their own beers. They have a variety of things to offer. And they also have a nice outside seating area but it would be nice in summer, it was little cold that night, Anyways, they have good sampling of bears. I tried the pumpkin ale and it was really good.
All the beer lovers should definitely try it....

Video Games. Addiction or Disorder?

    Video games are addictive. No wonder the gaming industry is making a fortune. Infact, i was once so addicted that i would spend atleast 4 to 5 hours in front of my tv playing video games. Lately, there has been a lot of research and surveys taking place as it is predicted as a sort of mental illness or disorder. Also, there is a question to which no one is being able to answer. Is video game an addiction or a mental disorder? Initially, it started to seem as a problem in kids as them holing up in their rooms, ignoring friends, family, even food and a shower, while grades plummet.

Joyce Protopapas of Frisco, Texas, said her 17-year-old son, Michael, was a video addict. Over nearly two years, video games transformed him from an outgoing, academically gifted teen into a reclusive manipulator who flunked two 10th grade classes and spent several hours day and night playing a popular online video game called World of Warcraft.
     Video games are fun but you cannot make it the only thing in your life.
